GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  IN ORDER TO AUGMENT THE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS OF
REF (A) FOR INSTALLATION FAMILY ADVOCACY PROGRAM OFFICERS (FAPO) AND
CASE REVIEW COMMITTEE (CRC) MEMBERS, A MOBILE TRAINING TEAM FROM
PERSONAL AND FAMILY READINESS DIVISION WILL PROVIDE ONE AND A HALF
DAYS OF TRAINING AT INSTALLATIONS.
2.  THROUGH COORDINATION WITH INSTALLATION FAMILY ADVOCACY PROGRAM
MANAGERS (FAPM), THE TRAINING DATES, SITES AND POCS ARE:
A.  3-4 DECEMBER 2003:  MCB QUANTICO AND HQBN HENDERSON HALL AT MCB
QUANTICO (POC:  MS. JANET JORDAN).
B.  24-25 FEBRUARY 2004:  MCAS BEAUFORT, MCSA KANSAS CITY, AND MCLB
ALBANY AT MCRD PARRIS ISLAND (POC:  MS. REGENA COOPER).
C.  20-21 APRIL 2004:  MCB CAMP PENDLETON, MCRD SAN DIEGO AND MCAS
MIRAMAR AT MCB CAMP PENDLETON (POC:  DR. CHRIS COULAPIDES).
D.  22-23 APRIL 2004:  MCAGCC TWENTYNINE PALMS, MCLB BARSTOW AND MCAS
YUMA AT MCAGCC TWENTYNINE PALMS (POC:  MR. ROBERT JOHNSON),
E.  3-4 MAY 2004:  MCB OKINAWA (POC:  LT BETH-ANN VEALEY).
F.  6-7 MAY 2004:  MCAS IWAKUNI (POC:  MR. RAY TRIBE).
G.  29-30 JUNE 2004:  MCB CAMP LEJEUNE, MCAS NEW RIVER AND MCAS
CHERRY POINT AT MCAS NEW RIVER (POC:  MS. LESLIE SLOSKY).
3.  THE TRAINING WILL COMMENCE WITH AN EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW FOR
COMMANDERS.
4.  IN ADDITION TO CRC MEMBERS, ATTENDANCE BY COMMAND LEADERSHIP,
CHAPLAINS, NCIS AGENTS, MCCS DIRECTORS, PERSONAL SERVICES DIRECTORS,
VICTIM ADVOCATES, CASE MANAGERS, NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM
MANAGERS, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS (CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, LEGAL
AND LAW ENFORCEMENT) ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED, ALONG WITH OTHERS THAT
INSTALLATIONS RECOMMEND.
5.  TRANING IS AS FOLLOWS:

(1) EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW FOR COMMANDERS
(2) UPDATE FROM HQMC
(3) MR SGTMAJ PRESENTATION: "LEADERSHIP ROLE IN FAP"
(4) COORDINATED COMMUNITY RESPONSE (CCR) AND CRC ROLES
(5) DYNAMICS OF SPOUSE AND CHILD ABUSE, SPECIFIC TO ABUSE AND
TREATMENT
(6) MOCK CRC
B.  DAY 2:
(1) BRIEF ON LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT
(2) BRIEF ON TRANSITIONAL COMPENSATION PROGRAM
(3) FUNCTIONAL COMMUNITY BREAKOUT SESSIONS AND REPORT OUT
(4) CLOSING
6.  REQUEST INSTALLATIONS REVIEW THE SCHEDULED DATES IN PARAGRAPH 2
AND PROVIDE CONCURRENCE OR ALTERNATE DATES.
7.  FUNDING, BASED ON THE NUMBER OF ATTENDEES, WILL BE REALIGNED
UNDER SEPARATE MESSAGE.
