ANNOUNCE THE 2007 HENAAC CAREER CONFERENCE AND AWARDS SHOW,
AND SOLICIT NOMINEES FOR THE 2007 HENAAC AWARDS. THE
CONFERENCE WILL TAKE PLACE IN SAN DIEGO, CA.
FROM 11-13 OCTOBER 2007.
2. HENAAC IS AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, NON-PROFIT
ORGANIZATION AND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1989. THE MISSION OF
HENAAC IS TO EDUCATE, MOTIVATE, AND ENABLE MORE STUDENTS
TO ACHIEVE CAREERS IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING,
AND MATHEMATICS (STEM); TO ENGAGE FAMILIES, EDUCATORS, AND
EMPLOYERS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS IN STEM CAREERS, TO INSPIRE
OUR NATION THROUGH RECOGNITION OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF
HISPANICS IN STEM, TO DEVELOP AND LEVERAGE HISPANIC STEM
TALENT TO PLAY A LEADERSHIP ROLE, TO LEAD COLLABORATION
AND COOPERATION WITHIN THE STEM COMMUNITY.
3. EACH YEAR HENAAC PRESENTS AWARDS TO MILITARY PERSONNEL
FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS IN TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL
ACHIEVEMENT AS WELL AS RECOGNIZING THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TO
THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
OUTSTANDING TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT, PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT,
SANTIAGO RODRIGUEZ DIVERSITY AWARD, AND THE COMMUNITY
SERVICE AWARD. THE AWARD RECIPIENTS WILL BE PRESENTED AT
THE 2007 ANNUAL CAREER CONFERENCE AND AWARDS SHOW 12
OCTOBER 2007. THE HENAAC NOMINATION PROCESS IS PAPERLESS.

INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION, PER DIEM, AND REGISTRATION FEES.
5. COMMANDERS MAY NOMINATE DESERVING MARINES FOR THIS AWARD.
THE AWARD RECIPIENTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED VIA MARADMIN. TRAVEL
AND PER DIEM FOR THE AWARD RECIPIENTS AND ONE FAMILY MEMBER
WILL BE FUNDED BY CMC (MPE).
