GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  THIS MARADMIN ANNOUNCES THE SUBMISSION
SCHEDULE OF NOMINATIONS FOR THE FY07 COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE
CORPS CAREER RETENTION SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR AWARD.
2.  THE REF ESTABLISHED THE SUBJECT AWARD TO RECOGNIZE
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN THE PROFESSIONAL CAREER RETENTION
SPECIALIST FORCE AND TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE
CAREER PLANNING EFFORT IN MAINTAINING AN EFFECTIVE CAREER
FIGHTING FORCE. 3.  NOMINATIONS WILL BE PREPARED PER THE REF
AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY CMC
(MMEA-6) NLT 06 AUG 07. NOMINEES MUST BE IN THE RANK OF
SERGEANT THROUGH GUNNERY SERGEANT IN THE PRIMARY MILITARY
OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY, CAREER RETENTION SPECIALISTS (0143),
OR CAREER RETENTION SPECIALISTS SERVING ON A B-BILLET.
NOMINEES MUST BE SERVING IN THE BILLET OF CAREER RETENTION
SPECIALIST, NOT AS A SNCOIC OR ASSISTANT SNCOIC AT THE GROUP,
REGIMENT, OR HIGHER ECHELONS.
4.  NOMINATIONS MUST BE ENDORSED BY THE FIRST COMMANDING
GENERAL IN THE MARINE'S CHAIN OF COMMAND.  THERE WILL BE NO
LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF NOMINATIONS PER COMMAND.
5.  A SELECTION BOARD WILL CONVENE ON OR ABOUT 20 AUG 07 TO
SELECT THE CAREER RETENTION SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR. THE MARINE
SELECTED WILL BE ANNOUNCED VIA MARADMIN NLT 10 SEPT 07.
6.  THIS YEAR'S AWARD CEREMONY WILL BE HELD AT MCCDC,
QUANTICO, VA. THE DATE FOR THE AWARDS CEREMONY WILL BE
FORTHCOMING IN A FUTURE MARADMIN. THE FIRST PLACE WINNER AND
SPOUSE ARE INVITED TO ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY. ALL
ASSOCIATED COSTS FOR TRAVEL, BILLETING, AND PER DIEM FOR THE
FIRST PLACE AWARD WINNER AND SPOUSE WILL BE FUNDED BY CMC
(MMEA). 7.  THE REF IS AVAILABLE TO ALL CAREER RETENTION
SPECIALISTS ON THE TOTAL FORCE RETENTION SYSTEM (TFRS).//
