STOPS IN OKINAWA, IWAKUNI, SOUTH KOREA, AND HAWAII. THE WEST COAST
INCLUDES STOPS IN MIRAMAR, CAMP PENDLETON AND 29 PALMS.

3. THE COMMAND VISIT WILL PROVIDE BRIEFINGS AND COUNSELING TO FIRST
TERM AND CAREER MARINES. IT IS ALSO INTENDED TO TARGET OFFICER
LEADERSHIP AND SENIOR ENLISTED MARINES IN YOUR COMMANDS AS THEY
INFLUENCE MARINE CORPS RETENTION DECISIONS AND SERVE IN KEY
LEADERSHIP POSITIONS. BRIEFS ARE OUTLINED IN REF A.
4. BECAUSE OF AIRCRAFT SPACE LIMITATIONS, THE FOLLOWING MONITOR
MOS' WILL BE A PART OF THE CMC (MMEA) COMMAND VISIT: 02XX,
0311/41/51, 0369, 353X, 35XX/58XX, 0151/43XX, 04XX, 13XX, 21XX,
3043, 3044/3051/31XX, 0612/0621-27, 0613/14/19/29/48/81/99, 59XX,
6046/6211/6242/73, 6048/63XX, 65XX/70XX, 72XX/68XX, AND THE SDA
MONITOR. THE FOLLOWING MOS' ARE OF IMPORTANCE AS THEY ARE CRITICAL
TO THE MARINE CORPS' CONTINUED OPERATIONS IN THE GLOBAL WAR ON
TERRORISM: 0211, 0231, 0261, 03XX, 0612, 0621, 0627, 0689, 2146,
2171, 2631, 2823, 2831, 4429, 5937/5839, 6324, 6333, 7212,
7234/7236. DURING THE ROADSHOW ALL CAREER RETENTION SPECIALISTS ARE
REMINDED TO BRING THEIR AVAILABLE MARINES FOR ON THE SPOT
REENLISTMENTS. FURTHERMORE, A MONITOR REPRESENTING EITHER COMBAT
ARMS, COMBAT SERVICE SUPPORT OR AVIATION/COMM-ELECT WILL BE
AVAILABLE TO ASSIST MARINES WHOSE MONITORS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.
5. THE HOST COMMANDS IN MARFORPAC LOCATIONS ARE: III MEF, OKINAWA;
MARFORK, SOUTH KOREA; MCBH, HAWAII. THE HOST COMMANDS ON THE WEST
COAST ARE: 3D MAW (MIRAMAR AND MCAS CPEN); 1ST MARDIV (SAN MATEO
AND CAMP HORNO); AND MAGTFTC, 29 PALMS. MMEA HAS COORDINATED ALL
SCHEDULING AND LOGISTICS THROUGH THOSE RESPECTIVE HOST COMMANDS.
6. THE CMC (MMEA) REQUESTS RESPECTIVE HOST COMMANDS
RECONFIRM/REVIEW:
A. SCHEDULES CONTAINING TIMES/LOCATIONS FOR BRIEFS AND
INTERVIEWS TO ENSURE ACCURACY.
B. ALL FIRST TERM AND CAREER BRIEFS ARE CONDUCTED AT FIRST
OPPORTUNITY IN THE MORNING. MONITOR AND CAREER COUNSELOR INTERVIEWS
WILL IMMEDIATELY FOLLOW THESE BRIEFS FOR ALL AVAILABLE AND
INTERESTED MARINES.
C. PROVIDE A LIST OF ENLISTED MANPOWER CONCERNS TO MMEA-12
COMMAND DISTRIBUTION. POC IS GS-13 KEVIN REED AT DSN 278-9220

F. ANNOUNCE VISIT VIA BASE PAO, NEWSPAPER, BASE TV, EMAIL, ETC.
IN ADVANCE OF CMC (MMEA'S) ARRIVAL. ADVANCE NOTICE IS PARTICULARLY
IMPORTANT FOR THE FAMILY RETENTION BRIEF AT EACH HOST SITE TO ENSURE
MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION.
G. C4 INSTRUCTIONS:
(1) MARINE CORPS BASE G-6'S PROVIDE MINIMUM 30 LOCAL AREA
NETWORK (LAN) DROPS FROM THE BASE NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE TO CMC
(MMEA) COMMAND VISIT SITE LOCATION ON YOUR BASE. LAN DROPS MUST BE
10 BASE-T CAT V CABLING WITH 100 MB CONNECTION TO EACH USER. CMC
(MMEA) PERSONNEL WILL CONNECT TO MANPOWER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
THROUGH VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK (VPN) SOFTWARE. ALL CMC (MMEA)
PERSONNEL HAVE MCNOSC APPROVED VPN ACCOUNTS.
(2) RECONFIRM THAT MARINE CORPS BASE JAPAN G-6 WILL PROVIDE
MINIMUM 6 CELLULAR PHONES DURING CMC (MMEA) COMMAND VISIT.
