/1. THE DIVISION OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS WILL HOST THE MARINE CORPS
PUBLIC AFFAIRS LEADERS CONFERENCE AT THE HILTON HOTEL IN MCLEAN,
VIRGINIA FROM 28 AUG-1 SEPT 2006. THE CONFERENCE RUNS CONCURRENTLY
WITH THE U.S. MARINE CORPS COMBAT CORRESPONDENTS ASSOCIATION
CONFERENCE (USMCCCA) FROM 29 AUG-3 SEPT 2006. USMCCCA CONFERENCE
INFORMATION WILL BE SENT VIA SEPCOR; POCS FOR THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE
ARE MR. JACK PAXTON (USMCCCA@CFL.RR.COM) AND MR. FRED LASH
(FCLASH@VSECORP.COM).
2. THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE AGENDA WILL INCLUDE THE USMC
PUBLIC AFFAIRS STRATEGIC PLAN, OIF AND OEF LESSONS LEARNED, THE NEW
PA INTRANET AND MARINES BROADCASTING, AND UPDATES ON THE PA
EQUIPMENT AQUISITION PROCESS. BRIEFINGS, DISCUSSIONS AND GUEST
SPEAKERS RELEVANT TO THE PA OCCUPATIONAL FIELD WILL RUN CONCURRENT
WITH THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE.
3. ALL PA DIRECTORS AND PA CHIEFS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE. THE NEXT SENIOR PA REP IS WELCOME
TO ATTEND IF THE DIRECTOR OR PA CHIEF IS UNABLE TO ATTEND.
PARTICIPATION IS UNIT FUNDED WITH GOVERNMENT CREDIT CARDS USED FOR
OFFICIAL TRAVEL.
4. CONFERENCE ATTIRE IS BUSINESS CASUAL. THE UNIFORM FOR THE
AWARDS DINNER IS DRESS BLUE BRAVO OR SERVICE ALPHA.
5. THE USMCCCA AWARDS DINNER AND CEREMONY IS THURSDAY, 31 AUGUST
STARTING AT 1900. ALL USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS ARE
ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
6. RECOMMEND PARTICIPANTS ARRIVE THE AFTERNOON OF 28 AUG. THE
CONFERENCE WILL COMMENCE PROMPTLY AT 0730, 29 AUG. THE USMC PA
LEADERS CONFERENCE ENDS AT 1300 ON FRIDAY, 1 SEP.
7. PARTICIPANTS MAY TRAVEL TO THE HOTEL VIA SHUTTLE, TAXI, OR
METRO. SUPERSHUTTLES MAY BE USED AT EITHER REAGAN NATIONAL OR
WASHINGTON DULLES. THE COST IS APPROXIMATELY $20 PER PERSON.

HAS BEEN RESERVED AT THE HILTON HOTEL IN MCLEAN, VA. COST IS $85.00
PER NIGHT (SINGLE OR DOUBLE) PLUS APPLICABLE ROOM TAX.
