GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. UNDER GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY REFS A AND B, THE FY13-02 AR OFFICER ACCESSION BOARD CONVENED AT THIS HQ ON 22 APRIL 2013 TO RECOMMEND APPLICANTS FOR ASSIGNMENT ON THE AR PROGRAM.

IF NO RESPONSE IS RECEIVED WITHIN 30 DAYS, THE OFFER OF ACCESSION WILL BE WITHDRAWN AND CONSIDERED AS DECLINED. ALL OFFICERS MUST ACCESS BY 1 SEPTEMBER 2013. FOR AC OFFICERS WHO MUST RESIGN AND REQUEST A RESERVE COMMISSION, THIS HQ WILL COORDINATE THE PROCESS AND TIMELINE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. 5. ACTIVE COMPONENT (AC) AND RESERVE COMPONENT (RC) OFFICERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY ON FUNDED ORDERS WILL END THOSE ORDERS AND RETURN TO THEIR PLACE ENTERED ACTIVE DUTY (PLEAD). YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AT LEAST A 30 DAY BREAK IN ACTIVE SERVICE BETWEEN CURRENT ORDERS AND EXECUTING ACCESSION ORDERS. THIS DOES NOT LIMIT TRANSITIONING MARINES FROM AFFILIATING WITH THE SMCR VIA THE DIRECT AFFILIATION PROGRAM.
A. FOR AC OFFICERS, THIS TRANSITION IS A COMPONENT CHANGE. ALL OFFICERS RESIGNING THEIR AC COMMISSION OR RC OFFICERS DEMOBILIZING FROM FUNDED ORDERS MUST ATTEND ALL REQUISITE TRANSITIONAL BRIEFS AS ENTITLEMENTS AND BENEFITS CHANGE DURING THIS TRANSITION FROM ACTIVE SERVICE. REF F CONTAINS THE PRESEPARATION CHECKLIST REQUIRED BY ALL INDIVIDUALS SEPARATING OR RETIRING FROM THE MARINE CORPS. THIS IS APPLICABLE TO BOTH AC AND RC MEMBERS.
B. SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. OFFICERS MUST USE OR SELL BACK LEAVE AS APPROPRIATE PRIOR TO THEIR EAS OR DEMOBILIZING FROM FUNDED ORDERS. SEPARATING/DEACTIVATING SELECTEES MUST COORDINATE SEPARATION AND TERMINAL LEAVE WITH THEIR PARENT COMMAND PER REFS C AND D.
6. AVIATION AFFILIATION BONUS. AVIATORS WHO WISH TO ACCEPT THE AFFILIATION BONUS FOR THE ACTIVE RESERVE PROGRAM SHOULD REFER TO REF (E) FOR SPECIFIC DETAILS CONCERNING THE BONUS.
7. TOTAL FORCE INTEGRATION STAFF TRAINING (TFIST) IS MANDATORY FOR ALL NEW ACCESSIONS. SPECIFIC DETAILS CONCERNING LOCATION, DATE, AND TIME WILL BE COMMUNICATED IN SEPCOR. HQMC (RA) WILL FACILITATE AND FUND THIS TRAINING.
8. CAREER DESIGNATION. THE FOLLOWING AR OFFICERS WERE ELIGIBLE FOR AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD FOR CAREER DESIGNATION ON THE AR PROGRAM. READ IN THREE COLUMNS:
