GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  THIS MARADMIN ANNOUNCES THE FY15 EAS ENLISTED RETENTION SURVEY.  THE PURPOSE OF THIS SURVEY IS TO ALLOW FIRST-TERM AND SUBSEQUENT-TERM MARINES (ZONES A-C) THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMMUNICATE TO SENIOR LEADERS WHAT FACTORS AND INCENTIVES HAVE THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON RETENTION, AND HOW SATISFIED OR DISSATISFIED THEY ARE WITH CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE MILITARY WAY OF LIFE.  AS A FIRST OR SUBSEQUENT TERM MARINE WHO HAS AN END OF ACTIVE SERVICE (EAS) DURING FY15, THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE VALUABLE FEEDBACK TO YOUR SENIOR LEADERS REGARDING THE IMPORTANT FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE YOUR CAREER DECISIONS AND WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MARINE CORPS IMPROVE.
2.  TARGET POPULATION.  ACTIVE DUTY ENLISTED MARINES, IN REENLISTMENT ZONES A THROUGH C, WHO HAVE AN EAS BETWEEN 1 OCT 2014 AND 30 SEP 2015 ARE TO BE AFFORDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE THIS SURVEY.  THIS INCLUDES BOTH FIRST-TERM AND SUBSEQUENT-TERM MARINES.
3.  METHODOLOGY.  UNITS THAT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET CAN DIRECT MARINES TO THE FY15 ENLISTED RETENTION SURVEY LOCATED ON THE MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS WEB SITE.  THE SURVEY IS LOCATED AT THIS WEB ADDRESS: HTTPS:(SLASHSLASH)WWW.MANPOWER.USMC.MIL(SLASH) APPLICATION.  MARINES CAN ALSO FOLLOW THE LINK THAT IS LOCATED ON THE MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS HOMEPAGE TO THE SURVEY (WWW.MANPOWER.USMC.MIL).
4.  CAREER RETENTION SPECIALISTS ARE DIRECTED TO ENCOURAGE ALL ZONE A THROUGH C MARINES IN THEIR UNIT WHO HAVE AN EAS BETWEEN 1 OCT 2014 AND 30 SEP 2015 TO TAKE THIS SURVEY NLT 28 FEB 2014.  WHILE THIS SURVEY IS VOLUNTARY, IT IS IMPORTANT THAT AS MANY ELIGIBLE MARINES AS POSSIBLE TAKE THE SURVEY.  THIS WILL ENSURE THAT SENIOR LEADERS RECEIVE THE BEST POSSIBLE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT FACTORS MOST INFLUENCE REENLISTMENT BEHAVIOR AND WHAT RETENTION INCENTIVES ARE MOST EFFECTIVE IN ENCOURAGING MARINES TO REENLIST.  THIS WILL ALSO PROVIDE SENIOR LEADERS WITH A MORE COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION OF ENLISTED ATTITUDES TOWARDS MARINE CORPS SERVICE ACROSS ALL TARGETED REENLISTMENT ZONES.
5.  UNIT COMMANDERS.  YOUR ENDORSEMENT AND SUPPORT ARE CRITICAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS SURVEY.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO ALLOW MARINES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY BECAUSE THE RESULTS WILL BE USED TO DESIGN RETENTION INCENTIVES THAT WILL DIRECTLY ASSIST YOU IN ACHIEVING YOUR REENLISTMENT MISSION.  IF YOUR MARINES DO NOT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS, PLEASE CONTACT THE POC WITH THE NUMBER OF PAPER-BASED SURVEYS YOU NEED FOR YOUR FY15 EAS MARINES.
6.  DATA COLLECTION PERIOD.  THE SURVEY IS OPEN TO ALL ACTIVE DUTY ENLISTED MARINES, IN REENLISTMENT ZONES A THROUGH C, WHO HAVE AN EAS BETWEEN 1 OCT 2014 AND 30 SEP 2015, BUT TIME WILL BE LIMITED. THE SURVEY WILL RUN THROUGH 28 FEB 2014.
7.  THIS BULLETIN IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE MARINE CORPS RESERVE.
8.  THIS BULLETIN IS CANCELLED 1 MAR 2014.
