GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  UNDER GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY REFS (A) AND (B), THE FY14-02 AR OFFICER ACCESSION BOARD CONVENED AT THIS HQ ON 28 APRIL 2014 TO RECOMMEND APPLICANTS FOR ASSIGNMENT TO THE AR PROGRAM.

4.  APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR PRIMARY ACCESSION, AS IDENTIFIED IN PARAGRAPH 2, WILL RECEIVE ADDITIONAL CORRESPONDENCE FROM THIS HQ PERTAINING TO ACCEPTANCE OR DECLINATION OF SELECTION.  THIS NOTIFICATION MUST BE ACKNOWLEDGED AND RETURNED INDICATING ACCEPTANCE OR DECLINATION TO THE AR ASSIGNMENT MONITOR, THE POINT OF CONTACT ON THIS MESSAGE, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF RELEASE OF THIS MARADMIN, IN ORDER TO COORDINATE ACCESSION TIMELINE AND INITIAL ORDERS.  IF NO RESPONSE IS RECEIVED WITHIN 30 DAYS, THE OFFER OF ACCESSION WILL BE WITHDRAWN AND CONSIDERED AS DECLINED.  ALL OFFICER ACCESSIONS WILL BE COORDINATED WITH THE AR MONITOR.  FOR AC OFFICERS WHO MUST RESIGN AND REQUEST A RESERVE COMMISSION, THIS HQ WILL COORDINATE THE PROCESS AND TIMELINE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.
5.  ACTIVE COMPONENT (AC) AND RESERVE COMPONENT (RC) OFFICERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY ON FUNDED ORDERS WILL END THOSE ORDERS AND RETURN TO THEIR PLACE ENTERED ACTIVE DUTY (PLEAD).
    A.  FOR AC OFFICERS, THIS TRANSITION IS A COMPONENT CHANGE.  ALL OFFICERS RESIGNING THEIR AC COMMISSION OR RC OFFICERS DEMOBILIZING FROM FUNDED ORDERS MUST ATTEND ALL REQUISITE TRANSITIONAL BRIEFS AS ENTITLEMENTS AND BENEFITS CHANGE DURING THIS TRANSITION FROM ACTIVE SERVICE.
    B.  SEAMLESS TRANSITIONS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.  OFFICERS MAY USE OR SELL BACK LEAVE AS APPROPRIATE PRIOR TO THEIR EAS OR DEMOBILIZING FROM FUNDED ORDERS.  FOR OFFICERS WHO ARE ENDING A PERIOD OF ACTIVE DUTY, ALREADY ON A RESERVE COMMISSION, SUCH AS A PERIOD OF ADOS OR A MOBILIZATION, HE OR SHE MAY ELECT TO CARRY A LEAVE BALANCE.  SEPARATING/ DEACTIVATING SELECTEES MUST COORDINATE SEPARATION AND TERMINAL LEAVE WITH THEIR PARENT COMMAND PER REFS (C) AND (D).
6.  AVIATION AFFILIATION BONUS.  AVIATORS WHO WISH TO SEEK/ ACCEPT THE AFFILIATION BONUS FOR THE ACTIVE RESERVE PROGRAM SHOULD REFER TO REF (F) FOR SPECIFIC DETAILS CONCERNING THE BONUS.
7.  TOTAL FORCE INTEGRATION STAFF TRAINING BASIC (TFIST-B) IS A MANDATORY FORMAL SCHOOL FOR ALL NEW ACCESSIONS.  SPECIFIC DETAILS ON ATTENDANCE AT THIS FORMAL COURSE OF INSTRUCTION WILL BE COMMUNICATED IN SEPCOR.
8.  CAREER DESIGNATION.  THE FOLLOWING AR OFFICERS WERE ELIGIBLE FOR AND APPROVED BY THE DIRECTOR, RESERVE AFFAIRS FOR CAREER DESIGNATION ON THE AR PROGRAM.  READ IN FOUR COLUMNS:

9.  UPON RELEASE OF THIS MARADMIN, THE AR OFFICERS LISTED IN PARAGRAPH 8, HAVE 45 DAYS TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE THE OFFER OF CAREER DESIGNATION.  A FORM WILL BE SENT TO EACH OFFICER INDIVIDUALLY FOR THEM TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE CAREER DESIGNATION.  IF CAREER DESIGNATION IS ACCEPTED, THIS HEADQUARTERS WILL RUN ALL APPLICABLE UNIT DIARY ENTRIES.  OFFICERS ELECTING TO DECLINE CAREER DESIGNATION OR FAIL TO RESPOND WITHIN THE PRESCRIBED TIME WILL BE CONSIDERED AS DECLINING, AND WILL EXECUTE THEIR EXISTING EAS.  QUESTIONS CONCERNING CAREER DESIGNATION CAN BE DIRECTED TO POC ABOVE.
