GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. SITUATION. THE ANNUAL HQMC (RAM) COMMAND VISIT TO DESIGNATED MARINE CORPS COMMANDS AND RESERVE TRAINING CENTERS WILL BE CONDUCTED FROM OCTOBER 2014 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2015.
2. MISSION. RESERVE AFFAIRS WILL PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL MILITARY EDUCATION ON THE ACTIVE RESERVE PROGRAM, DISCUSS ACTIVE RESERVE MANPOWER ISSUES WITH UNIT LEADERSHIP, AND PROVIDE ASSIGNMENT COUNSELING TO ACTIVE RESERVE MARINES IN ORDER TO SUPPORT ACTIVE RESERVE ACCESSION AND RETENTION EFFORTS THAT MEET THE FULL TIME SUPPORT MANPOWER REQUIREMENTS OF THE RESERVE COMPONENT.
3. EXECUTION
A. CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS. RESERVE AFFAIRS PERSONNEL WILL CONDUCT BRIEFINGS AND INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING ON THE DATES AND AT THE LOCATIONS IDENTIFIED BELOW. ALL MARINES WITHIN THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA, REGARDLESS OF COMPONENT, ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. THE INTENT OF THE VISIT IS TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, EDUCATION, AND FOR ACTIVE RESERVE MARINES AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH MONITORS AND DISCUSS CAREER AND ASSIGNMENT MATTERS.

C. FOR COMMANDS OUTSIDE THE GENERAL COMMUTING DISTANCE TO ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED ROADSHOW LOCATIONS, UPON THE COMMAND'S REQUEST, RAM HAS THE CAPABILITY TO CONDUCT A VIRTUAL METHOD.
D. COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS
(1) LOCATION AND SCHEDULE OF EVENTS. LOCAL BRIEFING LOCATIONS AND TIMES WILL BE COORDINATED WITH EACH MAJOR COMMAND VIA SEPARATE CORRESPONDENCE. MARINES WHO WISH TO ATTEND SHOULD CONTACT THEIR CHAIN OF COMMAND, CAREER PLANNER OR PRIOR SERVICE RECRUITER FOR THE SPECIFIC LOCATION AND TIME.
(2) MONITOR INTERVIEWS. MONITORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT COUNSELING. SPECIFIC TIME BLOCKS WILL BE COORDINATED AT EACH LOCATION.
4. ADMINISTRATION AND LOGISTICS
A. REQUEST EACH LOCATION DESIGNATE A COMMAND POC TO SERVE AS LEAD COORDINATOR TO ENSURE APPROPRIATE MEETING AND BRIEFING FACILITIES ARE PROVIDED AND TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL SCHEDULES.
B. LOGISTICS
(1) FUNDING. RA WILL ONLY FUND TRAVEL, LODGING, AND RENTAL CAR EXPENSES FOR RA PERSONNEL. UNITS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FUNDING ALL OTHER ATTENDEE TRAVEL.
(2) FACILITIES. EACH COMMAND/STATION WILL HAVE UNIQUE REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCOMMODATING THE SIZE OF THEIR UNIT BRIEFS. IT IS REQUESTED THAT THE DESIGNATED COMMAND POC/COORDINATOR ENSURE PROPER FACILITIES ARE RESERVED FOR ALL BRIEFS AND INTERVIEWS.
5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL
A. MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION AND SUPPORT FROM ALL LEVELS OF COMMAND IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THE FY-15 RA COMMAND VISIT.
B. EACH MEMBER OF THE RA COMMAND VISIT TEAM WILL ARRIVE WITH COMPUTER ASSETS AND WILL REQUIRE DATA PORTS AND APPROPRIATE NETWORK SUPPORT. RA MARINES DO NOT HAVE ADMINISTRATIVE PASSWORDS FOR THESE LAPTOPS; THEREFORE, NO ADDITIONAL DRIVERS MAY BE LOADED FOR NETWORK SUPPORT.
