GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN announces the call for nominations for the 2014 Office of U.S. Marine Corps Communication (OUSMCC) Visual Information and Excellence in Communication Awards Program.This program recognizes those whose print and broadcast journalism and combat camera products promote the Marine Corps and demonstrate outstanding achievement in furthering objectives of the Department of Defense (DoD) Command Information Program.
2.  This competition recognizes public communicators in the Marine Corps Public Affairs and Combat Camera communities, and is used to select the first place winners in each category who will compete in the DoD Thomas Jefferson Awards Program at the Defense Information School, Ft. Meade, MD.
3.  The program is open to all Active Duty Marines, Reserve Marines on active duty and/or attending regular drills, and members of Mobilization Training Units for Public Affairs and Combat Camera. All entrants must be officially engaged in the production of materials for the Marine Corps. 4.  The deadline for submissions to arrive at OUSMCC IS 2359 on 18 February 2015.  All entries must be submitted in accordance with contest guidelines contained in the OUSMCC SOP as well as the 2014 Thomas Jefferson Awards Program SOP also0 found at http:(slant)(slant)go.usa.gov/hU7m.
