GENTEXT/Remarks/1.  The reference solicited Marine Corps nominations for the 2015 Jerry Coleman Award recipient.  The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation sponsors the Jerry Coleman Award, which is presented annually to a Staff Non-Commissioned Officer from the Marine Corps for outstanding leadership and unyielding support for the United States Marine Corps and the United States of America.
2.  This year's recipient of the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation’s Jerry Coleman Award is Staff Sgt. Rene Segura of Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18, Marine Air Craft Group 18, 1st Marine Air Wing.
3.  All nominees for this year's awards program are commended for their noteworthy dedication to the Marine Corps and the U.S.  A sincere thank you is extended to the commanders who nominated Marines from their units.
4.  Staff Sgt.  Segura will receive his award at the Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. on 4 November 2015.
5.  Specific coordination details, to include travel arrangements, will be sent to Staff Sgt. Segura by The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation and the Office of U.S. Marine Corps Communication.  Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Segura for a job well done.
6.  Award recipients are reminded that if the value of any benefits received from the Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation exceeds 250 dollars, award recipients must report acceptance upon completion of the travel to their local Staff Judge Advocate (SJA).  The SJA must, in turn, report this information to HQMC Judge Advocate Division for semi-annual DOD reporting purposes.  SF 326 is authorized for use for this report.
