GENTEX/REMARKS/1. Purpose. Ref (a) is being updated to reflect changes to the Marine Corps SAPR Program, to include implementation of ref (b). In the interim, this MARADMIN provides information on four distinct ongoing initiatives requiring immediate attention.
2. The following initiatives are necessary procedural and structural changes to the Marine Corps SAPR Program to ensure compliance with ref (b):
2a. Marine Forces Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (MARFOR SARC) billets were created to support senior commanders with an Area of Responsibility (AOR) that is geographically significant and that has a large Marine population.
2b. The SARC Advisory Committee was established as a forum for identified SARCs to provide input to the HQMC SAPR Branch from the fleet.
2c. The HQMC SAPR Quality Assurance (QA) Initiative was developed to provide oversight for decentralized SARC, SAPR Victim Advocate (VA), and Uniformed Victim Advocate (UVA) training.
2d. High-Risk Response Teams (HRRTs) and a Safety Screening Tool are mandated to support victims who are assessed to be in a high-risk situation.
3. Further details on these initiatives are available in the SAPR Gear Locker: https://ehqmc.usmc.mil/sites/family/mfb/sitepages/home.aspx under SAPR MARADMINs. An eHQMC SharePoint account is required to access the SAPR Gear Locker. To register for an eHQMC account, go to http//www.thegearlocker.org. Select your DOD email certificate, then follow the steps under “create a new account” to submit the account request. You should receive an email confirmation within 24 hours that your account has been created. For technical questions or support, contact SAPR Functional Systems Program Specialist, Ms. M. 4. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps total force.
5. This MARADMIN will remain active until ref (a) is updated to reflect these changes.
