GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce an extension of the deadline for submission of applications for FY16 enrollment into the Enlisted to Medical Degreee Progam (EMDP2).
2. In September 2014 the Secretary of the Navy authorized Marine Corps participation in the EMDP2 program and per the reference interested and highly qualified Marines were solicited to submit applications. Two Marines submitted and were selected to the FY15 program in accordance with the reference. To date only one Marine has submitted for FY16.
3. In an effort to allow full Marine Corps participation, the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) authorized Marines to submit applications to Headquarters Marine Corps (MMEA-25) by 22 January 2016. Applications received will be screened and if found qualified will be forwarded to BUMED for boarding in February 2016.
