GENTEXT/REMARKS 1.  In accordance with reference (A), a Marine Corps University (MCU) panel convened during November 2015 and selected 26 students to attend SAW during AY17.  140 officers applied from a variety of intermediate level schools: the Marine Corps Command and Staff College (CSC), US Air Force Command and Staff College (ACSC), US Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC), and service Distance Education Programs (DEP).  The quality of this year's applicants reflects the superb caliber of the ILS programs that prepare officers for the challenges of advanced intermediate level education.
