SUBJ/37TH COMMANDANT’S PLANNING GUIDANCE (CPG)//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. My planning guidance has been released and can be found at www.marines.mil. It is entitled, “FRAGO 01/2016: ADVANCE TO CONTACT.” I need everyone to read this document so we have a common understanding of where we are headed as a Corps. I also want everyone to re-read MCDP-1 Warfighting, and General Dunford’s planning guidance, “CPG-36: INNOVATE, ADAPT, WIN.”
2. General Dunford’s previous guidance remains in effect. This FRAGO is meant to be an extension, update, and refined course to CPG-36. Director, Marine Corps Staff will provide an update on existing tasks from CPG-36, and also consolidate POA&Ms from the OPR’s in this FRAGO in order to ensure we maintain momentum.
3. Leaders should conduct guided discussions about this FRAGO at the unit level and encourage questions and comments from their Marines and Sailors. We can only achieve unity of effort if everyone understands the guidance provided.
4. Robert B. Neller, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
