2. Background. This MTTP publication, MCRP 3-22.2A, provides commanders, their staffs, and suppression of enemy air defense planners and operators a single, consolidated reference. JSEAD provides MTTPs necessary to conceptualize, plan, coordinate, and conduct successful joint operations to counter enemy air defenses.
It discusses JSEAD considerations for command, control, communications, computers; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, air-to-surface and surface-to-surface missiles, artillery, naval surface fires, and special operations forces assets. Additionally, it discusses fratricide prevention considerations during JSEAD mission planning and execution. This publication was last revised in 2013. All four services have signed this publication.
3. Coordinating Instructions. Ref (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies. Units will receive automatic initial distribution of printed copies of MCRP 3-22.2A via the Marine Corps Publications Distribution System (MCPDS). Units not receiving copies or desiring additional print allocations must follow procedures identified in ref (a), coordinating with their internal S-1 or admin sections. For MCPDS ordering purposes, the publication control number for JSEAD is 144 000073 00.
