GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the results of the CY2017 Congressional Fellowship Program (CFP) for SNCOs.  A board comprised of senior leaders met for 8 weeks to screen and interview select qualified Marines for assignment. The SNCOs designated as selectees were selected on a highly competitive board amongst their eligible peers.  Competition was particularly keen and all applicants are commended for their superior career achievements.
2.  The CY2017 Congressional Fellowship Program SNCO selectees are as follows:

3.  PCS/PCA orders to the Congressional Fellowship Program (MCC K20) will be coordinated via separate correspondence by HQMC Personnel Management Division. Selectees are directed to report NET 20161004 and NLT 20161031 for duty. If required, alternates will be notified via separate correspondence NLT 20160501.
4.  Participation in the Congressional Fellowship Program incurs an additional 24-month fellowship utilization tour beginning on or about Jan 18.  Utilization tours will be coordinated by the SEA of OLA and MMEA.
5.  Fellows must possess a top secret clearance.  Selectees must immediately notify their local security manager to confirm their eligibility and apply for TS clearance.  Report to local security officer for initial interview and single scope background investigation.  Notify this headquarters immediately if SNM is found unqualified.  Failure to initiate clearance prior to 20160501 may negate eligibility to participate in the CY17 Congressional Fellowship Program.
6.  NLT 10 working days from the release of this message, all selectees are required to accept or decline their assignment by email via their PMOS monitor and the OLA  points of contact listed above.
