GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration, and Commandant, U.S. Army Engineer School, have published Technical Manual 3-34.82/Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-17.7L, Explosives and Demolitions, dated 07 Mar 2016. MCRP 3-17.7L is available for download via the United States Marine Corps Doctrine Website at https:(slant)(slant)www.doctrine.usmc.mil.
2. Background
(a) Marine Corps Reference Publication 3-17.7L, Explosives and Demolitions, is a dual-Service publication that discusses technical application of explosives and demolitions to specific missions, in support of military operations. This publication will serve as the authoritative reference for the military application of demolitions.
(b) While the principal target audience for this publication is engineers, combat engineer leaders, and staffs, it is intended to provide technical guidance for engineer commanders and trainers. This publication is one of the foundational documents for curriculum within the engineer portions of the educational system.
3. Coordinating Instructions. Reference (a) details steps required to request publication hard copies, however, this publication will be disseminated via electronic distribution only. Units requiring print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), paragraph 4A(2). For Marine Corps Publication Distribution System (MCPDS) identification purposes, the publication control number is 144 000190 00.
4. This MARADMIN is applicable to Marine Corps Total Force.
