GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  PURPOSE. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the 2016 Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) Advertising Casting Tour 4 April - 19 April.  MCRC is seeking the best and most diverse group of Marines to represent the Corps in advertising initiatives such as: new television and web campaigns, print material, social media, and community engagement events.  Marines of all ranks and military occupational specialties are encouraged to apply.
2.  BACKGROUND.  MCRC is seeking quality Marines of all ranks, Military Occupational Specialties, ethnicity, gender, and background whom will best represent the face of the Marine Corps to the Nation.  The intent of on-site casting is to conduct a pre-screening of Marines who are interested in participating in advertising projects.  This year, MCRC is consolidating casting for all upcoming projects in one casting tour.  No command involvement is necessary for pre-screening, though commands are requested to find their most eligible Marines and encourage them to apply.  If a Marine is selected by MCRC for a particular advertising project, a naval message will be released via AMHS and commands will be contacted requesting approval for selected Marines participation as well as instructions for completing the command screening form.
