GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration’s Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) and the Air Land Sea Application (ALSA) Center, have published the revised Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-35.3A, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for Aviation Urban Operations, dated 27 April 2016. MCRP 3-35.3A may be downloaded via the United States Marine Corps doctrine website at https:(slant)(slant)www.doctrine.usmc.mil. The publication can also be found on the ALSA website at http:(slant)(slant)www.alsa.mil.
2. Background. This multi-Service tactics, techniques and procedures (MTTP) publication, MCRP 3-35.3A, provides TTP for planning and executing aviation operations in an urban environment. This publication is a tactical level document that complements established doctrine and provides a single-source reference to assist aviation and ground personnel in planning and coordinating tactical aviation support to urban operations. It promotes an understanding of the complexities of urban terrain and incorporates lessons learned and TTP from recent aviation urban operations. This revision is the third revision of a publication first authored in 2001. All four Services have signed this publication.
3. Coordinating Instructions. Reference (a) details steps required to request hard copies of this publication. Units associated with the publication’s distribution list will receive printed copies of MCRP 3-35.3A via the Marine Corps Publications Distribution System (MCPDS). Units not receiving copies or desiring additional print allocations must follow procedures identified in reference (a), coordinating with their internal S-1 or administrative sections. For MCPDS ordering purposes, the publication control number for AOMSW is 144 000088 00. Hard copies of this publication should be available for ordering via MCPDS within 10 to 12 weeks of the date of this MARADMIN.
4. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps total force.
