GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2016 Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO) Western Region Symposium on 19 May 2016 at the Admiral Kidd Catering and Conference Center, San Diego, CA at 33050 McDonough Road, San Diego, CA 92136.
2.  ANSO’s mission is to bring together Hispanic officers, civilian executives, enlisted personnel, and other senior leaders in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Maritime industry to learn from, network with, and mentor one another, as well as conduct professional development training.
3.  USMC funded participation for this conference has been approved within a limited scope.  USMC will sponsor twenty local area service members by funding their conference/registration fees only.  All USMC funded participation will be coordinated through the USMC Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) Branch.
4.  Commands shall not fund conference/registration fees.  Commands are not authorized to expend travel funds, including lodging, transportation, meals and incidental expenses.  Filing of temporary additional duty or local travel claims for this conference is not authorized.

7.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
