GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2016 Joint Womens Leadership Symposium (JWLS) from 14-15 June 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, at 2799 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA 22202.
2.  The Sea Service Leadership Association (SSLA) hosts JWLS and is dedicated to providing professional development through networking, education, and mentorship of women from all three maritime armed forces – the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.  This years theme, “Leading with purpose, impacting the future” will offer opportunities for personal and professional development.
3.  Marine Corps funded participation for this conference has been approved within a limited scope.  The Marine Corps will sponsor seventy service members from the local area by funding their conference/registration fees only.  The Major Megan McClung award recipient will have the conference/registration fee and all travel fully funded.  All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) Branch.
