RMKS/1.  The Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration, Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD) and the Air Land Sea Application (ALSA) Center have published the revised Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 10-10F.1 (formerly MCRP 3-33.1J), Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (MTTP) for Tactical Employment of Biometrics in Support of Operations, dated 6 May 2016.  MCRP 10-10F.1 may be downloaded via the USMC doctrine website at https:(slant)(slant)www.doctrine.usmc.mil.  The publication can also be found on the ALSA website at http:(slant)(slant)www.alsa.mil.
2.  Background.  This MTTP publication, MCRP 10-10F.1, provides a standardized multi-Service framework for planning, integrating, and employing biometrics data collection efforts by tactical units designed to improve data quality and maximize system capability in direct support of military operations.  It provides small unit leaders and collectors a clear, fundamental understanding of the impact accurate and valid data has on the overall biometrics process.  It provides guidance for collecting facial images, fingerprints, iris scans, DNA, and palm prints.  Adherence to procedures in this publication will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of identity operations, deny the enemy anonymity, and reduce risk to friendly forces.
3.  Coordinating Instructions.  This manual will be published electronically only.  There will be no printed copies.  It may be downloaded from the websites indicated in paragraph 1 above.
4.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps total force.
