GENTEXT/Remarks/1.  The Distance Learning (DL) Panel convened on 10 June 2016 to select applicants for Advanced Degree DL and Certificate DL programs administered through Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), at Monterey, CA.  Candidates were assessed on basic eligibility and academic coursework (specifically previous mathematics and science courses).  Every reasonable accommodation was made to ensure Marine selections were aligned with desired curriculum.  Marines who did not specify alternate programs were only considered for their primary program selection.
2.  38 total Marines applied this year.  While the Executive Masters of Business Administration remains the most competitive, the application data shows a growing interest in Systems Analysis and Engineering.  Currently, Marines are enrolled in 60 DL Programs at NPS.

5.  A program point of contact will be provided upon completion of enrollment.
