GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Reserve Affairs (RA) will conduct the Active Reserve (AR) FY17  roadshow between September 2016 and January 2017.
2.  The purpose of the roadshow is to educate commands and Marines on the AR program, provide career counseling and discuss reserve manpower issues.  Briefings and discussions are open to all Marines, regardless of component. 
3.  The roadshow is scheduled for the following locations and dates:
     a.  Newburg, NY               12-13  September  2016
     b.  Fort Dix, NJ              13-16  September  2016
     c.  Camp Pendleton/Miramar    17-21  October    2016
     d.  Great Lakes, IL           15-18  November   2016
     e.  Camp Lejeune, NC          5-9    December   2016
     f.  New Orleans, LA           17-20  January    2017
     g.  Ft. Worth, TX             20-26  January    2017
4.  Roadshow locations, timelines, and logistical support requests will be coordinated with major local commands via separate correspondence.  RA will contact local commands with details once finalized. 
5.  Monitors will be available for individual assignment interviews during the roadshow.  Details on the process to reserve an appointment with a Monitor will be released via separate correspondence. 
6.  Funding is the units responsibility.
7.  Marines in locations not visited by the roadshow are encouraged to contact their Monitor at their convenience or request unit funded travel to attend a scheduled roadshow event.
