GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Situation. First Sergeant/Master Sergeant Regional Seminars will be hosted by the regional Staff Noncommissioned Officers Academies (SNCOA) located at MCB Quantico, Virginia Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Camp Pendleton, California MCB Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and MCB Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan. Attendees gain a unique perspective on current issues through interaction with key personnel, as well as their peers. Seminars will include briefs on the following areas: operations, personnel, leadership, training, joint operations, regional trends, and ongoing initiatives within our Corps.
2. Mission. SNCOA will sponsor the First Sergeant/Master Sergeant Regional Seminars at the location and dates indicated in paragraph 3.A.
3. Execution.
3.A. Regional seminars, respective seminar dates and allocations are as follows:

3.B. In accordance with reference (C), request command G-3/S-3 representatives provide a list of nominees, by digitally signed email, to include full name, grade, last five of the EDIPI, MOS, phone number, email address, and complete unit address to the respective SNCOA POC listed in paragraph 5, no later than 14 days prior to the convening date of the attendees seminar date.
3.C. Attendees must be First Sergeants/Master Sergeants or selectees (active or reserve) who have not previously attended.
3.D. All attendees will report to the designated seminar in the appropriate seasonal service uniform no later than 0730 on the respective seminar convene date.
4. Admin and Logistics.
4.A. All quotas received by the SNCOA from Major Subordinate Commands will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Upon receipt of the Marines information, the respective SNCOA POC will confirm via email the attendees seat. SNCOA will not normally exceed the total number of allocated seats established in
paragraph 3.A., or accept additional nominees after the 14-day nomination due date outlined in paragraph 3.A.
4.B. All attendees requiring lodging are recommended to lodge at local or base lodging establishments, whichever is the most convenient to the seminar location.
4.C. SNCOA are not responsible for subject matter experts or invited guests travel costs.
4.D. Funding is the responsibility of the parent command. Indicate on orders: non-reporting orders, government quarters and messing are not available.
4.E. A conference fee is required to be paid by seminar attendees. This fee in nonrefundable and is not reimbursable through DTS. Separate correspondance will be disseminated by the host academy to all registered attendees prior to the commencement of the seminar regarding conference fees.
4.F. Uniform requirements: the uniform for the seminar is the appropriate seasonal service uniform. Additionally, appropriate civilian attire, coat and tie (males) or dress or suit (females), is required for the professional dinner. The host academy may disseminate additional uniform requirements prior to the commencement of their respective seminars.
