GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  MBW, the Oldest Post in the Corps, requires high caliber individuals to support ceremonial and security missions in the nation's capital.  On 10 Jan 2017, a panel comprised of staff from MMOA and MBW will select officers for assignment to billet vacancies during FY17.
2.  Eligibility requirements.
2.a.  Time on Station (TOS).  Officers who will complete their prescribed tour, on their current set of orders, NLT 1 October 2017 are eligible.
2.b.  Grade.  Officers who are promoted, selected, or in zone for the solicited billet openings are eligible to apply.
2.c.  Officers who meet the TOS and grade requirements must also have:
2.c.1.  Minimum height:  Male – 72 inches, Female – 68 inches.
2.c.2.  Excellent military appearance.
2.c.3.  Consistent first class PFT and CFT.
2.c.4.  PMOS credibility with demonstrated military proficiency.
2.c.6.  No adverse material.
2.c.7.  Career timing that supports a full 36 month tour at MBW.
2.d.  If an officer does not meet TOS, grade or height requirement, the officer must contact their Primary MOS (PMOS) monitor to discuss waiver submission requirements.
3.  Process.
3.a.  Interested officers must contact their PMOS monitor to determine their eligibility.
3.b.  Additionally, based on the needs of the Marine Corps, PMOS monitors may identify officers to screen for assignment.  The PMOS monitor will notify officers in this category prior to the convening date of the panel.
4.  Projected FY17 vacancies at MBW, Washington, D.C.:
4.a.  Captain: 4 x combat arms, 1 x 8006, 1 x 4402.
4.b.  Major: 1 x 0102, 1 x combat arms, 1 x 8006.
4.c.  Lieutenant Colonel:  1 x combat arms.
4.d.  Restricted:  1 x 0170.
5.  MMOA will release a results MarAdmin after the selection panel concludes.
