GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The assignment of officers to the USNA requires high caliber individuals for positions that support the accession of junior officers to the Naval Service. On 12 Jan 2017, a panel comprised of staff from MMOA and USNA will select officers for assignment to billet vacancies during FY17.
2. Eligibility requirements
2.a. Time on Station (TOS). Officers who will complete their prescribed tour, on their current set of orders, NLT 1 October 2017 are eligible. If an officer does not meet this requirement, the officer must contact their Primary MOS (PMOS) monitor to discuss waiver submission requirements.
2.b. Grade.
2.b.1. Majors. Officers who are promoted, select, or in zone for the solicited billet openings are eligible to apply.
2.b.2. Captains. Officers who are promoted or select are eligible to apply.
2.c. Officers who meet the TOS and grade requirements must also have:
2.c.1. Excellent military appearance.
2.c.2. Consistent first class PFT and CFT.
2.c.3. PMOS credibility with demonstrated military proficiency.
2.c.4. No adverse material.
2.c.5. Career timing that supports a full 36 month tour at USNA.
2.c.6. Recent operational experience (preferred).
3. Application Process.
3.a. Interested officers must first contact their PMOS monitor for approval to screen on the panel for assignment to USNA.
3.b. Upon receipt of approval to screen by the PMOS monitor, officers are encouraged to visit http:(slash)(slash)www.usna.edu(slash)USMCInfo(slash)index.php, to download and submit the application. The approval correspondence from the PMOS monitor is a prerequisite for submission of the application. If unable to download the application, contact the USNA POC listed below.
3.c. The deadline to apply to the PMOS monitor for inclusion to screen on the panel is 9 Dec 2016.

4.a. USNA, Annapolis, MD.
4.a.1. 4402, Capt-Maj, Military Law Instructor.
4.a.2. 8006, Capt-Maj, Executive Assistant. Serve as the Assistant to the Academic Dean, and various other deans, performing aide-type duties.
4.a.3. 8006, Capt-Maj, Leadership and Ethics Instructor.
4.a.4. 8006, Capt-Maj, Leadership and Ethics Instructor.
4.a.5. 8006, Capt-Maj, Physical Education Instructor. Serve as a football coach while supporting the physical education mission. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) black belt instructor qualification is preferred. Collegiate football playing or coaching experience required.
4.a.6. 8006, Capt-Maj, Economics Instructor. Masters degree in economic-related field required.
4.a.7. 8006, Capt-Maj, Economics Instructor. Masters degree in economic-related field required.
4.a.8. 8006, Capt-Maj, French Instructor. Masters degree in French, or a native French speaker with a Masters degree (any subject) is required.
4.a.9. 8006, Capt-Maj, German Instructor. Masters degree in German, or a native German speaker with a Masters degree (any subject) is required.
4.a.10. 8006, Capt-Maj, English Instructor. Masters degree in English, or literature-related field required.
4.a.11. 8006, Maj, Staff Director. Serve as the Director of the Commandant of Midshipmen’s staff. Intermediate Level School completion preferred.
4.a.12. 8006, Maj, Deputy Director of the Leadership, Education, and Development Division. Supervise military or civilian personnel issues, manage the Divisions budget and Company Officer Masters Program. Teach leadership, ethics, and law. Masters degree (or above) required.
4.a.13. 8006, LtCol, Marine Chief of Staff. Serve as the Chief of Staff and Assistant to the Senior Marine Corps Representative. Facilitate and supervise the accession of midshipmen to the Marine Corps. Report on or about Jan 18.
4.b. Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS), Newport, RI
4.b.1. 8006, Capt, Company Officer. Serve as an officer advisor to a midshipmen candidate company.
5. MMOA will release a results MarAdmin after the selection panel concludes.
