6. For courses convening aboard Camp Johnson, students will report during working hours to the Ground Supply School registrar in building M79. After working hours, students will report to the Officer of the Day (OOD) in building M130. Students will be required to check in wearing the Service A uniform. Students are required to bring appropriate seasonal Marine Corps Combat Utility Uniform (MCCUU) (green MCCUU all year round), seasonal Service (B or C ) uniform, and Physical Training gear (green on green). Parent Commands will ensure that each student arrives with a Temporary Duty (TD) Fitness Report (FitRep) for all students attending courses at Camp Johnson, NC that exceed 30 days in length. Sergeants and below will reside in Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools (MCCSSS) permanent personnel barracks. Staff Sergeants and above will reside in Staff Noncommissioned Officer billeting (if available), phone number 910-456-7073.
7. Major Subordinate Command (MSC) Ground Supply Chiefs are encouraged to liaison with senior enlisted leadership within their Subordinate Commands and stress the importance of having supply Marines attend these courses. Participation in formal career progression courses is critical to the ground supply community continuing to provide an effective contribution to the overall logistics posture of our corps.
8. Units will request seats through their appropriate S-3/G-3 for registration in Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) for these courses. Historically, there are unused seats in each class. Utilization of the wait-list in MCTIMS is highly encouraged in order to maximize the number of seats filled in each class.
9. The FY17 Temporary Additional Duty funding data for Active Duty and Active Reserve Marines will be provided to Marine Force Commands for issue to commands with registered students through the Training and Education Command (TECOM) Financial Management Branch (C464). Unit S-3/G-3 sections can verify student registration through MCTIMS.
10. MTTs are intended to support Marines stationed in designated geographic areas who otherwise are unable to attend resident courses at Camp Johnson, NC due to high operational tempo. MTT dates and seat allocations listed in this message are subject to change based on availability of local facilities and the training needs of local MSCs. FitReps will not be provided to students upon graduation from a MTT course so these students will not be required to have a TD FitRep prior to the convening date of the course. Detailed Information regarding each MTT will be released via SepCor by the hosting MSC no later than 90 days prior to convening the MTT.
