RMKS/1.  This MARADMIN solicits Marines for the Fiscal Year 2017 Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) program.
2.  EOAs are assigned to major Marine Corps commands to provide information, assistance and advise the Commanding General, Commanding Officer, Marines, Sailors and other attached service members.
3.  Marines selected for assignment as EOAs will attend a eleven week EOA course at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida during FY17:

4.  Individuals submitting for an EOA billet must meet the following basic criteria:
4.a.  Marine must be a Staff Sergeant through Master Gunnery Sergeant (due to billet requirements, First Sergeants and Sergeants Major are not eligible).
4.b.  Marine is a high school graduate or has a GED and a GT of 105 or higher (GT may be waived if a Marine has demonstrated an ability to excel academically during PME or off duty education).
4.c.  Marines must have completed 24 months time on station upon class report.  Marines will also extend or reenlist to meet a minimum 36 months of obligated service from the date of graduation from the EOA course.  Orders will reflect a 36 month tour of duty.  Marine must be eligible to extend or reenlist to meet the eligibility requirements stated above.
5.  Submit requests, appropriate endorsements, and Commanding Officers screening guide, per reference (a) through the chain of command to CMC, MMEA-25 via Total Force Retention System (TFRS) no later than 31 October 2016.  An official photo, taken within the past 12 months, is required.  Digital photos must be electronically filed in OMPF.  Commanders must verify that all info provided by the applicant is correct.  Commanders are encouraged to address any adverse material.  Commanders will notify CMC (MMEA) immediately of any changes affecting current duty location or disciplinary action that occurs after submission of application.
