MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO -- Maj. Charles O’Neill, inspector instructor, Delta Co., 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance, congratulates Staff Sgt. Jay Baldino, training chief, Delta Co., 4th LAR, during Baldino’s promotion ceremony at Camp Upshur on March 8. Baldino was pinned by his wife, Sibbioan, and 1st Sgt. Jason Armistead, inspector instructor first sergeant, Delta Co., 4th LAR. Baldino also received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device for his heroic achievement while serving a section leader with the 2D Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force in Afghanistan from April to Oct. 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
