SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio-based Marine For Life hometown link recognized the AlliedBarton South Texas district office during a ceremony recently for being the company in the San Antonio area to hire the most honorably discharged Marines through the local Marine for Life program during 2005.
AlliedBarton is the largest American-owned security services company in the United States with 37,000 employees in more than 60 offices that serve more than 2,100 customers nationwide.
Major Matt Stuckey, San Antonio’s hometown link, said, “AlliedBarton provided stellar support to the Marine For Life program in San Antonio during 2005, setting the standard for the 19 other wonderfully supportive San Antonio-affiliated network resources.”
According to Frances DeSoto, human resources manager for AlliedBarton's South Texas district, "Our efforts with this program have benefited the worthy Marines, and AlliedBarton.”
Stuckey added, “AlliedBarton hired more than 20 transitioning Marines last year, placing them into rewarding positions that entail providing security to high-profile government and commercial clients.”
Currently, more than 5,000 employers of all sizes are registered with the Marine For Life program nationwide with nearly 2,000 individual jobs posted on the job board. Employers continue to show their appreciation for military service while attracting high quality job candidates.
And AlliedBarton presents a clear example of those employers who appreciate what a Marine can do for their organization.
DeSoto stated, “Our office has been fortunate that these fine Marines have chosen AlliedBarton as their employer, and we will continue to be avid supporters."
Stuckey added, “The effort and support of network resources like AlliedBarton is what makes the Marine For Life program succeed.”
