MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO, Va. -- Access to the 40th Marine Corps Marathon and MCM10K will
come easy for participants of either event Sunday, Oct. 25, when thousands
descend on Arlington, Va. and the nation's capital. Metro will open early for
participants, starting at 5 a.m. Marathon Day. The MCM also recommends
spectators use Metro to view their runner at numerous locations along the 26.2
mile course. In addition, free shuttle service is available to and from the
MCM, as indicated below.
The 40th MCM will start on Route 110 in Arlington, while
the MCM10K begins at 4th and Madison Drive on the National Mall in the
Washington, D.C. Both events start simultaneously at 7:55 a.m. and finish
together on the Marine Corps War Memorial in Rosslyn, Va .
Metro
All MCM participants should take the blue or yellow line
to the Pentagon Metro Station to access Runners Village located in the Pentagon
North parking lot. Event signage will direct runners to UPS Baggage Drop Off
and to the Route 110 start line. The Arlington Cemetery Station (blue) will not
open until 8:30 a.m. on MCM morning. This Metro station will serve spectators
immediately following the Marathon start and those exiting the event throughout
the day.
The MCM10K start is located near the Archives/Navy
Memorial/Penn Quarter (green & yellow) or L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station
(orange, silver, blue, yellow and green) on the National Mall in Washington,
DC.

Parking
Sunday, Oct. 25, free parking for the MCM is available
in Crystal City at the corner of 23rd and Crystal Drive. From there, runners
and spectators will take the free shuttle service to Runners Village hosted by
Hyundai. Premarathon shuttle service starts at 5 a.m.
There is no designated parking location for the start of
the MCM10K. Participants will arrive from either Metro station and then head to the MCM10K screening point at 7th and Madison Drive on
the National Mall.
Runners and spectators can use Parking Panda to reserve
and pay for guaranteed parking on their smart phone. Parking Panda, the
nation's leader in online reservations, guarantees vehicle spaces at garages
and parking lots throughout Arlington and Washington, DC.
Post-Event Shuttles
Runners and spectators can depart from the Finish
Festival in Rosslyn and return directly to the parking area in Crystal City.
These shuttles are parked at the corner of Oak Street and Wilson Boulevard in
the Finish Festival.
Post-Event Taxi Service
The taxi stand will be located near Family Link-up in the
Finish Festival on the corner of 19th and Lynn Streets. Taxi service is not
free of charge, but taxis are continuously running throughout Marathon Day.
Uber Service
Uber, the App that connects to a reliable ride in
minutes, is teaming up with the MCM to provide low-cost to premium service from
the Finish Festival on Marathon day. Uber will pick up runners and spectators
from the corner of 19th Street North and North Moore Street. Request a ride from
this location and the driver will be there within minutes. Those new to Uber,

The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is voted "Best
