Base fire crews responded to a brush fire aboard Naval Weapons Station, Fallbrook, at approximately 9:45 a.m., today.

Naval Weapons Station Fallbrook personnel and Camp Pendleton’s De Luz housing residents have been ordered to evacuate.

Mary Fay Pendleton Elementary School, located on Camp Pendleton, has also been ordered to evacuate.

Camp Pendleton’s Paige Field house, located aboard Mainside, is serving as the evacuation site.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
