QUANTICO,Va. -- Olympian and renowned marathon trainer Jeff Galloway will take over the Marine Corps Marathon's (MCM) Twitter account @Marine_Marathon tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 25, offering training advice and answering questions from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 Eastern. Runners should Tweet Galloway using #RunWithTheMarines.
MCM participants will benefit from this opportunity to join Galloway via Twitter to obtain training tips and for injury-free running as they prepare for the 40th MCM on Sunday, Oct. 25. The 40th MCM will be held in Arlington, VA and throughout the nation's capital.
Galloway's Run-Walk-Run method is well regarded among long distance runners, as his innovative training methods have opened up marathon running to all types of athletes, including first-time marathoners. Also an inspirational speaker, Galloway maintains a captive audience via the social networks and through each of his presentations, including two hosted on May 26 by the MCM at the U.S. Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. and on Marine Corps Base Quantico.
