The Marine Corps' strategy is based on our assessment of the anticipated future operating environment and the opportunities, challenges, and threats presented by this environment. This strategy reaffirms our role in national defense and supports the guidance provided in the National Military Strategy and the Maritime Strategy: A Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower. Our core mission, as directed by Title 10, of providing relevant naval expeditionary forces in readiness, able to respond rapidly across the range ofmilitmy operations (ROMO), remains our first priority.
