To provide procedures for the disassociation of the electronic test and measuring equipment from the subject principal end items (PEIs). This disassociation will accomplish the following:

Increase the deployment/configuration flexibility of these maintenance groups. 

Permit the inventory manager(s) and acquisition project officer(s) to more effectively and efficiently manage test and measurement devices normally used with these maintenance groups. Adding the electronic test and measuring equipment to tables of equipment (T/E) will provide visibility to the managers and facilitate more responsive support and control of the maintained equipment.

Facilitate the identification and disposal of obsolete electronic test and measurement equipment and the adequate procurement of replacement equipment.
