The Commanding Generals, Fleet Marine Force, Pacific (FMFPac), and Atlantic (FMFLant), shall designate an appropriate activity to monitor the use of TP-4 cargo space for intra-Pacific areas and from Pacific areas to CONUS; and from Atlantic areas to CONUS. The Commanding Generals, FMFPac and FMFLant, shall submit to the CMC (Code LFT-1) cargo lift data for Tp-4 cargo shipped on a monthly basis 10 working days following the month of operation. Data shall include origin, destination, transportation account code (TAC), commodity, and short tons. Report Symbol MC-4630-17 has been assigned to this report.

Activities having TP-4 cargo exceeding space assignments shall not offer such cargo as normal air eligible cargo. The following alternatives shall be considered:

Hold until next month’s TP-4 cargo space allocations.

Hold until the TP-4 cargo allocations of the operating month have been increased.

Divert cargo to surface container mode of transportation.
