The goal of Marine Corps Administration is to provide commanders, Marines, and their family members effective administrative support and services. Enabling commanders to focus more resources on training and operations, and ultimately facilitating mission accomplishment, are inherent in this goal. Providing Marines and their family members with increased quality of life through efficient administrative support will also increase unit and individual readiness. Supporting considerations include:

Establishing the most effective use of personnel and equipment resources to accomplish administrative requirements, along with quality control and improve organizational structures that ultimately enable increased supervision, coordination, and integration.

Maintaining vigilance toward complete, accurate personnel records. This includes Official Military Personnel Files, paper Service Record Books and Officer Qualification Records, and electronic records including the Marine Corps Total Force System.
