In accordance with references (a) through (ae), this Order outlines the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ (CMC) policy for implementing and managing field level maintenance. It is designed to integrate requirements, policy, programs, and procedures to synchronize maintenance and sustainment activities. When properly implemented, this Policy will significantly increase equipment readiness and effectively apply maintenance resources.  To define and establish Marine Corps maintenance and maintenance management policies and procedures in order to improve staff planning, organization, direction, coordination, and unit readiness.
