The 10th annual Marine Corps Trials opening ceremony welcomed athletes from six countries including Colombia, United Kingdom, Georgia, Canada, France, and Italy to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 29. The Marine Corps Trials is an adaptive sports event involving more than 200 wounded, ill or injured Marines, Sailors, veterans and international competitors, promoting recovery and rehabilitation through adaptive sport participation. The WBCA’s mission is to promote women’s basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game of basketball as a sport for women and girls.
