A Republic of Korea Marine, right, fires an M2 .50-caliber Browning machine gun as U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Remington J.O. McClure observes June 19 during integrated live-fire training as part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-8 at the Susungri range in Pohang. ROK and U.S. Marines used various weapons systems as part of an integrated live-fire range to enhance their combined combat proficiency. KMEP 14-8 is a combined, small-unit training exercise, which enhances the combat readiness and interoperability of ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces. The exercise also highlights the two countries’ combined commitment to the defense of South Korea and peace and security in the region. McClure is a Milton, West Virginia, native and military policeman with Company C, 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, III MEF.
