U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Freddy Cantu, with Combat Camera, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, takes cover as a CH-53 Super Stallion helicopter lands in Nawa district, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Oct. 9, 2009. The aircraft is carrying Marine Corps Gen. James N. Mattis, commanding general of U.S. Joint Forces Command. Mattis came to Nawa to visit Marines with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment.
