Marines detonate the mine-clearing line charge Feb. 9 at Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, at the battalion assault course during Integrated Training Exercise 2-15. The MCLIC is a 1,700 pound composition C-4 explosive charge to designed to destroy enemy explosives to allow ground troops to move in and repel the enemy’s assault. The Marines are with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
