MONROVIA, Liberia—U.S. Army Lt. Col. John Wojcik, staff judge advocate, Joint Force Headquarters, Michigan National Guard, instructs Armed Forces of Liberia soldiers in detainee operations as part of a three-week legal training course at Edward Binyah Kesselly Military Barracks, Liberia, Jan 23. Approximately 50 AFL service members, including military police officers, investigators and paralegals completed the three week course that taught basics in detainee operations and military law procedures, among other topics. The legal training was one in a series of capacity building events designed to promote the developing AFL, which is being retrained and reequipped following several years of national strife.
