Established in 1941, the Fire & Emergency Service Division (FESD) is presently comprised of an all civilian professional government employee workforce that is charged with providing the highest level of safety, fire, and emergency protection possible to all military, civilian, and neighboring municipalities. Our mission is to protect life and property of all who visit, live, and work within the jurisdiction of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station New River, and its surrounding communities. This is accomplished through providing aggressive fire prevention and public education programs; maintianing highly trained and proficient staff who specialize in firefighting and emergency operations to include Prehospital Basic and Advanced Life Support Providers; Hazardous Materials Mitigation; and Heavy, Tactical, and Water Rescue.
