A Fijian Soldier fires a Daewoo K2 rifle during live fire training, July 12, 2016, at Ovalau, Fiji, as part of a multi-national, bilateral exercise between Fiji and the U.S. During the exercise the service members have conducted jungle survival training, live fire training and patrol base operation training to increase interoperability and relations. The Fijian Soldiers are with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Fiji Infantry Regiment, Republic of Fiji Military Training. The Marines are with Task Force Koa Moana, and are originally assigned to 1st Marine Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
