U.S. Marines with Marine Barracks Washington fire the canons during an evening parade in MBW, D.C., July 24, 2015. Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., 36th commandant of the Marine Corps, was the official host and Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert, chief of Naval Operations, was the guest of honor. The Evening Parade summer tradition began in 1934, and features the Silent Drill Platoon, the U.S. Marine Band, the U.S. Marine Drumand Bugle Corps alongside two marching companies. More than 3,500 guests attend the parade every week.

U.S. Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, exit a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter from Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463, MRF-D, during a refueling and transport operation May 22 at Mount Bundey Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. Two CH-53Es picked up and transported approximately 140 Marines from Robertson Barracks to MBTA to begin Exercise Predator Walk. The exercise is a three-week bilateral training evolution with the Australian Army and enables Marines to become familiar with and improve their knowledge of the Australians’ technical and tactical procedures and standard operating procedures to strengthen interoperability.
