An amphibious assault vehicle approaches the well deck of the transport dock ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) to load aboard after an exercise for Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2011, June 12. The ship is currently deployed for CARAT 2011, which is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
