A soldier from the Cambodian National Peacekeeping Platoon, Cambodian army, switches his weapon to safe after firing blank rounds into the air to disburse rioting role-players during distribution site security training during the field training exercise at Exercise Khaan Quest 2011 at Five Hills Training Area near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Aug. 1. The platoon trained to protect food, water and humanitarian supplies at a distribution site within the scenario. The multinational training was conducted with the combined expertise of all participating nations, including Indonesia, Mongolia, Republic of Korea and India. Khaan Quest is a training exercise designed to strengthen the capabilities of participating nations’ forces in international peace support operations worldwide.
